Neuropsychology

Neuropsychology explores how our behaviour and the way we think are influenced by the brain. Often neuropsychologists look at how brain injuries and conditions affect behaviour, mood, and thinking.

They may undertake formal assessments, evaluate how the brain and the mind are working, and recommend treatment plans as a way forward.

Generally, Cognitive Neuropsychologists do research, whereas Clinical Neuropsychologists work directly with people in health care settings.

At BWC, we currently do not offer Neuropsychology services. You may wish to google the Australian Psychological Society website for a list. Click on Find A Psychologist and follow the prompts. The major universities may also offer neuropsychology services in their training schools.
