I am a registered counsellor. A significant focus in my work is couples and relationship counselling.
If you are experiencing loneliness in your relationship or feel weighed down by relationship decisions, I aim to help you find balance again.
I have come to couples and relationship counselling mid-life though I have always been interested in human behaviour, relationships, histories, and potentials.
Relationship connection is an important building block for physical and emotional wellbeing including healthy and happy families.
I hold a belief that people can grow through difficult circumstances to flourish individually and relationally. I feel privileged to hear a client’s life stories and I am motivated to help clients reconnect with their sense of self and each other.
Most recently, I have worked in private practice and community-based services as a couple and relationship counsellor.
I am a registered counsellor with the ACA (Level 2). I have a Diploma of Counselling (Uniting Institute of Education) and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling (UNE). I have a background in education including a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) (UWA) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) (ECU).
I have training in:
- Gottman Method Level 1 and Level 2 for Couples therapy
- Family Systems therapy,
- Emotion Focused therapy for couples
- Intimate partner and domestic family violence
- Narrative therapy supervision
- ACT
- CBT
- Hypnosis: An Ericksonian approach
I use evidence-based therapies to enrich relationships and encourage compassionate communication and connection.
I’m a dedicated couples and relationship counsellor. I support loving, respectful, and sustainable relationships in all their diversity. I am trauma informed and support clients with their mental health wellbeing and resilience.
